Regular readers of this blog know that I get upset easily when I hear about how anti-immigration policies negatively impact military families. Soldiers who put their lives on the line to preserve the American way of life deserve better. The Los Angeles Times writes about Frances Barrios, the wife of US Army Spc. Jack Barrios, a soldier just back from Iraq. The Guatemalan-born Frances is facing deportation because she entered the US illegally. She came when she was just six years old. Myself and my wife got first EADs with expiration of Sept 17, 2008. We both applied for renewal on July 14th, 2008 with TSC and my wife got her EAD under a month. My wife is using it work, where as I am still on valid H1b. My application was pending still then, I have called USCIS and put an expedite request on Oct 17, 2008. On Dec 3rd, my case status online updated saying, case transfered to one of the local office. I got a paper notice after 2 days saying:
for faster processing we have transfered your case to the following location.
and nothing in the next line, blank.
Even though I assume this was to faster my process, just wanted to know whether any of you have faced this.

It shouldn't have any negative effect. It would be better to withdraw the application, rather than just abandon it.

Case against his employer had held in the past year and he was doing right to get his right to get the money back so he was not doing anything wrong in the past with his employer but how the new employer of his company react on that background and understand is totally depends upon them but don't worry about it, he was not wrong.

I am eager to hear reports from the first users. I hope it is a killer camera. Nikon is a great manufacturer as is Canon. Healthy competition will only make it even nicer for the users of both systems.
